Haitian singer Emeline Michel celebrates the release of her latest CD, , which has been five years in the making, with a glorious display of Creole soul March 8 and 9 at Harlem Stage. Two Haitian writers of note featured on the new recording will perform alongside Michel: novelist Edwidge Danticat and legendary storyteller Jean-Claude Martineau will read their poetry and recite stories about the power of their nation’s spirit, backed by a 12-piece band. Classically-trained Haitian tenor James Germain also shares the spotlight, displaying fresh and unexpected aspects of Haiti’s diverse culture.

Ms. Michel – whose indelible presence gained wide exposure during 2010’s “Hope for Haiti Now: A Global Benefit for Earthquake Relief” telethon – has cultivated a vibrant career as a Haitian musical ambassador. Dubbed “the Joni Mitchell of Haiti” for her astute musical poetry, she’s seen as a source of inspiration by her fellow Haitians at home and abroad, compatriots whose land has been challenged by natural disaster and political turmoil but blessed with a rich culture that has been infused by an indomitable spirit and hope.

Butterfli Tia – Butterfli Tia’s obsession with shoes and clothes, always playing dress up as a child is what ultimately drove her desire and passion to one day start her own swimwear line. While growing up in Ossining, New York, for as long as she can remember, Tia wanted to be different and stand out from the crowd, consumed with a love of colors and patterns. With colorful and youthful designs, gracing the runway, this is just another indication of the impact of her style to fashion.
This event allows her to reveal the “Mental Seduction” Collection created specifically for New York Fashion Week. The show was be held on February 10, 2013 at 7:00 pm at the Helen Mills Event Space located in the Chelsea area of New York City. Rising Bay Area R&B/Hip-Hop Titan Ignites Radio with Debut Smash “Who Booty”

Burgeoning Oakland, California singer/songwriter Jonn Hart is quickly making a name for himself as his debut single “Who Booty,” is taking the nation on by storm as the #1 rhythmic mainstream recordon the radio chart. Not only is “Who Booty” a favorite on the airwaves, the infectious single continues to move up the charts landing in the Top 5 on both the iTunes R&B and Billboard Heatseekers charts. The emerging Epic Records singer/songwriter shows his ability to mix signature sounds of the Bay Area with his silky smooth R&B vocals, introducing a new fresh sound he calls “R&Bay Slap”. International Model Carissa Rosario Partners with Flex Watches for Charity

With the establishment of this foundation, Carissa keeps her promise made less than a year ago to Yvette Negron, the mother of the late Alycia “Aly-Mo” Allende, a six year old girl who succumbed tobrain cancer. The Aly-Mo Foundation will serve as a platform to support and raise awareness for pediatric brain cancer while honoring Alycia Allende.

While doing what she thought was business as usual Carissa found a cause that was close to her heart and decided to use her celebrity to speak for those who did not have the platform or who could no longer speak for themselves.

Carissa Rosario has been modeling since the age of 10. As a result, she has appeared on numerous magazine covers such as: Maxim, GQ, New York Post, Zimbio, Fox Sports, Latina, and various other online sources. She has appeared in televisions, commercials, film and even launched a successful fragrance line. The first line was so successful, she plans to launch a second line in the future.

In 2013, Carissa recently partnered with Flex Watches. The result is to create awareness and with each watch sold a portion of the proceeds go to research to sure Pediactric brain cancer. Just shy of turning six and in the midst of all of her life trials, Aly remained full of laughter, joy, resilience and hope, but succumbed to Brain Cancer on June 22, 2012.When Aly lost her precious life Carissa vowed to start a foundation in her honor to raise awareness for Pediatric Cancer. She kept her promise with the formation of the Aly-Mo Foundation. Carissa Rosario hopes to make a difference in the lives of all those young angels living with brain cancer.
