NY1 News Anchor Cheryl Wills Book “Die Free: A Heroic Family Tale.”

As a way to celebrate Black History month this year, she wanted to share the discovery of Her-story with the audience. The crowd congratulated Cheryl Wills for embracing and sharing a part of the narrative that has shaped historic influencers. Guests attending the event were able to purchase a copy of the book entitled “Die Free: A Heroic Family Tale.”

Cheryl was on hand to speak as well as personally autograph everyone’s copy of the book. During her dynamic speech, she talked about her journey in conducting the research for the story. She also shared how the experience changed and influenced her as a professional woman in the world today. In fact, in discovering the truth behind her ancestors’ lives has resulted in her being an even stronger advocate for preserving and telling the stories to future generations.

“Die Free: A Heroic Family Tale.” is a powerful story of struggles and triumph. Within the pages is also a displays are some of Cheryl Wills’ personal pictures of her family and discusses the road map as to how her family came to be where they are today.

In attendance for the exclusive event were political figures, educators, members of the press, and various other movers and shakers of New York City.
